How ICCE works
We sit between you and the lender. Here's exactly what we do, what we don't, and what each step looks like from your side.
What does ICCE do? ICCE is a free referral service. You fill out one application, and we pass it to a lender licensed in your province that lends in your situation. The lender reviews it, makes an offer and, if you accept, sends the money. You don't pay ICCE anything.
You apply once
Our form asks only for what a lender needs to make a decision: how much you want, where you live, how you're paid and how to reach you. We check your province first. If you're in Quebec or a territory, we tell you right away that licensed payday lending isn't available there, rather than sending your details somewhere they shouldn't go.
We match you with a lender
We send your application to a lender that holds a licence in your province and accepts applications like yours. The lender may ask you to confirm your identity or connect your bank account through a secure verification service.
The lender makes an offer
If you're approved, the lender sends a loan agreement showing the amount, the fee in dollars, the annual percentage rate, the due date and your right to cancel. Read it. Nothing happens until you sign.
You sign and get funded
Sign electronically and the lender sends the money, usually by Interac e-Transfer. From that point, your agreement is with the lender, not with us. Questions about repayment go to the lender directly.
How ICCE is paid
Lenders pay us a referral fee when we send them an application. It doesn't change your price: the legal cap is the legal cap. We tell you this so you understand our incentive, and so you know why we'll never ask you for money.
Common questions
Does ICCE charge a fee?
No. ICCE is free for applicants. If anyone claiming to be us asks you for money, it isn't us.
Who will see my information?
The lender we refer you to and the service providers that help us run the site. Our privacy policy explains this in detail.
